Traveller from dublin stayed in March,2009
Guest Comment:
Location of hotel is fantastic, within a 5 min walk of belfast city centre.
Unfortunately for us, on arrival having requested a non smoking room and a late arrival... we were told at 11pm at night(2 female travellers) that the only room available was on the smoking floor and obviously a smoking room...it stank!!! our breaths were taken away from us and both of us felt it impossible to stay in the room! eventually a compromised solution was offered after much negotiating with management..
so a word of advise, phone on day to stress if you'll be late to arrive and to confirm that they have the room that you have requested reserved for you! It does seem to be allocation on arrival otherwise. The hotel did come up trumps on our second night and we were quite happy.
Top Tip:
On Donegal Sq there is a lovely cafe/bar/ restaurant called "the apartment". Very reasonable and tasty food, oh and great cocktail menu! Beware most restaurants stop taking orders about 8.45pm...
If it's take-away you prefer and your on a budget, head for the crown pub and go down the side of it, there is a little takeaway pizza place... chat up line is "Whats your number...", you'l see what i mean when you get there!
The Crown it's self is a great place for a pint, it is directly across from the world famous Europa Hotel, which it's self is just a block away from Jurys Inn.
So go explore and have fun, we did!!!
